Mark your calendars for a public meeting on the Kirkham Street “neckdown” with Michael Farrah from Supervisor Myrna Melgar’s office. In addition we will learn about the new Pro Soccer team coming soon to Kezar Stadium

If your drive in the area you may have encountered the neckdown, a pilot test project of the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) that narrows Kirkham Street to essentially one lane between 9th and 10th Avenue, forcing traffic going in both directions to share one lane (See more here: https://sfstandard.com/2025/01/23/kirkham-street-neckdown-confusing-motorists/
This test is the first of its kind citywide. While the design is intended to slow traffic, some drivers, pedestrians and bicyclists have complained that it is confusing and endangers safety. Come share your thoughts and get your questions answered.
Golden City Football Club (GCFC) plans to join MLS NEXT Pro, the professional league designed by Major League Soccer (MLS) to foster elite player development and expand the reach of the sport. The club will call Kezar Stadium its home, with the inaugural season set to kick off in 2026 or 2027. They will be partnering with Mayor Lurie and the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department to help revitalize the iconic Kezar Stadium, .”Paco Suro from Golden City Football Club will brief us on what to look for in the near future.
