The irrepressible Marian Olsson has been a twinkling star in our neighborhood since 1952. A native San Franciscan and a SHARP member for longer than many of us have been alive, she’s still going strong. We salute her on her 104th birthday, January 22, 2015.

The SHARP Executive Board has chosen recipients for $4,000 in grants for the last half of 2014. The grants are $1,000 each to Lava Mae, the Center for Young Women’s Development, the Zen Hospice’s training program for volunteer caregivers, and the Garden for the Environment, on 7th Avenue at Lawton Street.
